The National Craft Prize recognizes excellence in Uruguayan craftsmanship, promoted by DINAPYME (National Directorate of Crafts, Small and Medium Enterprises), through its Artisan Development Area. For its 2019 edition, a 114-page book was developed to document the work of the awardees through a carefully curated visual and editorial approach.
This bilingual book (Spanish and English) takes a highly aesthetic approach, combining product photography, workshop portraits, and in-depth interviews, highlighting the identity, processes, and creativity of each awarded artisan. The result is a publication that not only celebrates Uruguayan crafts but also serves as a reference document for the promotion and positioning of the sector, emphasizing the intersection between tradition and innovation in the craft industry.
